Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then went to an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
